Watch Your Mouth!

Image
Don't let that come out of your mouth (Things never to say and do) This topic covers the power of our words and the need for positive confessions. If you are accustomed to saying negative things due to frustation, remember that your words have the potential to lock you into a life of frustation. At the end of this article (Yes, click me ), we learn not ever to say "I will never ... It is impossible ... I am useless".  Let's begin the picture summary A quote by Robin Sharma Wow...and I just discovered this quote in the Bible by James (aka St. James to some) " For all of us make many mistakes. If someone does not make any mistakes when he speaks, he is perfect and able to control his whole body." New LIFE, New DAY

Image
Welcome to the New Theme on 'Lessons from Life' I will be keeping the actual articles separate but will post images to summarise the lessons of each post. For the full post on this topic, click here . Otherwise, the images pretty much summarise what was discussed. Feel free to use them as  screensavers, wallpaper images and most of all, they are words of encouragements for you to remember and recite to yourself. All credit go to the authors of these poems and quotes and the graphic designers who decided to turn them into attractive images. From the Bible, King Solomon writes; "There is hope only for the living. As they say, "It's better to be a live dog than a dead lion!" Lamentations 3:4 (NIV translation) A famous quote with a different twist, written by Bryant McGill Another twist on the famous quote, 'As long as there is life, there is hope' by And another ... by Dean Kootz            ...

New Theme: Lessons from Life

Hello lovely readers, I sincerely apologise for my absence from the blog for a long while. There were so many things I was contemplating including stopping this blog but while I struggled with this dilemna, the ideas kept coming and after some deep thinking as well as words of encouragement from a friend and reader I have decided to keep this going. Having said that, I am excited to present to you, the latest theme I have named - "Lessons from Life". As usual, I write these based on my life experiences and I hope that you are able to get some perspectives on my life as well as identify some areas in your life that might need some adjustments. 'Lessons from Life' features some of my personal life experiences, filled with deep regrets, turns to hope and learning and deciding to keep the faith as long as a new day dawns. Essentially, at the end of every blog post I conclude that each new day offers the reality (not just a chance) for us to start all over again. Forget...

Poem (unedited)

Explanation of poem The inspiration for my latest poem came from a few things that came to mind before bed (I was literally trying to sleep but couldn't ... 10 minutes after, this was the result) Anyway...back to explaining. The thought process behind this poem is me trying to express how I can be so strong sometimes and so weak other times. My strong moments are filled with hope, confidence, energy, optimism and momentum to...a willing to explore life a bit more. Prior to this, I would have experienced some difficult times where I feel down, full of fear and a feeling of - "where exactly am I heading?!" In my high moments, life feels good, i know I have made mistakes but I try to put them behind me and I dare to dream big. My low moments are full of what-ifs, buts and could've beens ... and I do give my mind a beating sometimes In summary, deep thinking describes the high moments and shallow describes my low moments. Without further a do...I present ... my l...

Being Happy 2

Image
As we are still in the Christmas Season, I wish you once again, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I hope you are having a joyous and peaceful time of rest before the New Year begins. Rest! Yes, Rest. The year has had its ups and downs and a great deal has happened in your life this year I am certain. As the year ends, I hope you are resting your body, mind and soul before taking charge of  2016. So again I say... Rest! As spoken about previously, we continue on the theme: Being Happy ( Making Smart New Year's Resolutions ). And I have some few pointers for you to think on. I will begin by asking one question: 1) What is your New Year's Resolution? Note: Is (Singular) not Are (Plural) I suppose what I am trying to ask is, what is your important vision for 2016? This requires that you search for a resolution which you intend to see through in the new year and/or beyond When deciding on New Year's Resolutions, it is adviceable to: Point 1 Keep the r...

Being Happy

Image
Hello! It's been a while since I last posted and as it's the Last month of 2015, I say; ... Christmas is special indeed for great many reasons, this year as the day began drawing near, I went through a time of reflection. It seems like my mind rushed past Christmas and straight into the new year. I haven't stopped thinking about what 2016 has to offer or what I will like to bring to the year as well. Basically, this blog post is mostly about New Year's Resolutions and life in general. Do sit tight, this is bound to be interesting. If there is any lesson I learn every year around this time of year, it's that I do too much hoping and wishing. It's always a good thing to 'ask' for good things and to believe that you will get what you desire, I don't condone that at all. To be frank, I don't give myself enough time to accomplish those things or the things I would like to have maybe impossible. Reading some of my past new year's resolu...
