Being Happy 2

Image
As we are still in the Christmas Season, I wish you once again, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I hope you are having a joyous and peaceful time of rest before the New Year begins. Rest! Yes, Rest. The year has had its ups and downs and a great deal has happened in your life this year I am certain. As the year ends, I hope you are resting your body, mind and soul before taking charge of  2016. So again I say... Rest! As spoken about previously, we continue on the theme: Being Happy ( Making Smart New Year's Resolutions ). And I have some few pointers for you to think on. I will begin by asking one question: 1) What is your New Year's Resolution? Note: Is (Singular) not Are (Plural) I suppose what I am trying to ask is, what is your important vision for 2016? This requires that you search for a resolution which you intend to see through in the new year and/or beyond When deciding on New Year's Resolutions, it is adviceable to: Point 1 Keep the r

Hello! It's been a while since I last posted and as it's the Last month of 2015, I say; ... Christmas is special indeed for great many reasons, this year as the day began drawing near, I went through a time of reflection. It seems like my mind rushed past Christmas and straight into the new year. I haven't stopped thinking about what 2016 has to offer or what I will like to bring to the year as well. Basically, this blog post is mostly about New Year's Resolutions and life in general. Do sit tight, this is bound to be interesting. If there is any lesson I learn every year around this time of year, it's that I do too much hoping and wishing. It's always a good thing to 'ask' for good things and to believe that you will get what you desire, I don't condone that at all. To be frank, I don't give myself enough time to accomplish those things or the things I would like to have maybe impossible. Reading some of my past new year's resolu

The picture above contains verses from the Bible, Ecclesiastes 3 verse 1 to 8. I hope it speaks some words of wisdom and encouragement to you. It surely has done so for me. We are back on the "Being ... " series, although I don't know how long it will last for; I will try to keep to it as long as possible. There is no doubt that the theme for today is related to my personal experience. I cannot write with much honesty if I have no experience of the issue under discussion. I will be the first to admit that things have not been easy lately, personally, it feels like something I desire so badly in my life will not happen anytime soon. Worse of all, I have not been able to conjure up some solution in the medium to long term. So here I am, feeling stuck and helpless, but I have decided to focus on other things. Dear reader, like me, you might be feeling anxious, frustated, trapped or helpless by one or a number of issues in your life. Emotions and thoughts no doubt

Poem: My Love is Skin-deep, Your Love is Steadfast

My Love is Skin deep As deep as the thickness of my skin Metaphorically, my love is best described as thin Fragile and perishing My love only lasts for second If I said "I will love you forever"        What do you reckon? I love you because you love me I love you because you give to me I love you because you listen to me I love you because you are just like me You see I have reasons why I love you It might be one, two or three Your Love is steadfast Not like my love For unlike me You give it for free You love yesterday, today and for infinity You loved me even when I hated you You loved me even when I spite you You love me eventhough you are a thousand times better than me You love me even when I ignore you These are just among the reasons why you love me They are one, two, three and innumberable You love me for every reason Good, bad and unworthy reasons Not like my love Your love is steadfas
